Exciting news: Fibershed LA will be inhabiting the Space 15 Twenty Pop Up in March! Where: Space 1520, 1520 N. Cahuenga Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90028
When: March 15 – March 30
Fibershed LA will be hosting a shop, exhibition space, and educational events: movies, talks, and workshops. Show off your goods made from materials of our bioregion.
You will receive 60% of the price of anything sold; 40% will go to support Fibershed LA. We also welcome donations.
Projects must utilize fiber, dyestuff, and labor grown/farmed/sourced within 150 miles of El Pueblo de Los Angeles. The exception to this radius is Cleaner Cotton™ from the Sustainable Cotton Project, grown in the Central Valley. If you have any questions about other exceptions to the radius please don’t hestitate to contact us. We will NOT accept objects made from recycled materials with unknown provenance: we want to keep processes transparent, fully disclose materials, and hear your stories as you discover resources in the Los Angeles landscape. This is a time to experiment, play, and reach out to local sources.
If you are unable to find fiber resources but would like to participate please contact us- we can help you connect to what you are looking for.
Just send the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org:
Quantity (one offs and one of a kind are welcome!)
Deadline: All items must be delivered by March 10th
If there are special needs for hanging or display please indicate.
We’re excited to have this opportunity to showcase your talent and ingenuity, to meet new designers, and to learn about and celebrate our bioregion!
